Release

Description

Lets you disconnect from an attempted Call Transfer or Conference Call without hanging up the handset. Release is useful when a busy signal is encountered, or when attempting to add an unavailable external party to a Conference.

Conditions and Feature Interactions

Release is not supported on the Symbol Wireless phones.
Call Transfer or Conference must be in progress.

Programming

Feature Access Codes form

Assign a feature access code to Force Party Release.

Multiline Set Keys form

Program a Release feature key on the applicable extensions or use Superkey (see Feature Keys for more information on Superkey programming).

Supported on all devices.

To release from an attempted connection to an external party:

Flash the switchhook.
Dial the Force Party Release feature access code.
